The Stainless Steel 416 Hollow Bar is a martensitic, free-machining stainless steel alloy that mainly consists of iron, along with about 12–14% chromium, 0.15% carbon, 1.25% manganese, and trace amounts of sulfur, silicon, and phosphorus. The inclusion of sulfur boosts machinability while preserving strength and hardness. This grade boasts impressive tensile strength (up to 760 MPa) and moderate resistance to corrosion. It also offers good wear resistance, magnetic properties, and heat treatability, making it an excellent choice for machining and manufacturing precision components that require strength and dimensional stability in challenging conditions.
