Maduka Metals, situated in Abuja, Nigeria, is a dependable and efficient source of a high-quality Titanium Grade 1 forgings. Appreciated for its precision and excellence commitment, the company supplies titanium products which are compliant with international standards for strength, durability, and performance. Through the use of modern forging equipment and the rigorous quality assurance program, Maduka Metal is able to offer superior metallurgical properties in every product. The company, which is serving aerospace, chemical processing, marine, and medical industries, offers stable and corrosion-free forgings that are able to work effectively in the toughest conditions.
Titanium Grade 1 forgings are made from commercially pure titanium (about 99.5% Ti) with very small amounts of oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and iron. These forgings have great ductility, very good corrosion resistance, and good formability. The mechanical properties are, for example, tensile strength of nearly 240 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, and very good toughness even at low temperatures. Titanium Grade 1 provides the highest corrosion resistance among pure titanium grades and at the same time has excellent weldability and low modulus of elasticity for lightweight structural applications.

Titanium Grade 1 forgings are commonly used in aerospace, chemical processing, marine, medical, and automotive industries due to their excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight, high strength, and biocompatibility properties.
Titanium Grade 1 forgings are made by heating titanium billets, then shaping them using compressive forces like hammering or pressing, followed by precision machining to achieve the desired specifications.
Open-die forging for Titanium Gr 1 involves compressing heated titanium between flat or contoured dies, allowing metal to deform freely, producing strong, customized components with excellent structural integrity.
Titanium Grade 1 forgings find extensive applications in sectors which require resistance to corrosion as well as high formability. They are used in chemical processing equipment, heat exchangers, and condenser tubing due to their resistance to oxidizing and mildly reducing environments. In marine industries, they are used to manufacture components that are resistant to seawater. The use of airframe structures and engine parts for the aerospace industry is one of the applications that require material that is light and strong. In the medical field, they are made use of as surgical tools and implants due to their biocompatibility. Moreover, they are great for desalination plants, power generation, and architectural components.
